Skeleton Key Blog
Anthony Horowitz does not fail to surprise in the 372 page novel, Skeleton Key. Alex rider is off on another adventure to skeleton key after being viciously attacked at the Wimbledon tournament and saved at the beach. He is on a mission with to CIA agents, after the agents die and Alex is discovered things start to heat up. Sarov, an evil guy, wants to blow up one-fifth of the world’s nuclear fuel and start the world anew. Alex goes through an exciting chain of events to put a stop to this man, and in the end, is changed forever. Alex Rider is physically and mentally enduring.
Alex is put through numerous mental challenges as well as physical ones. As one can imagine, being a spy can put one in various situations. From jumping out of a plane, to being chased by a great white shark, it is not always as easy as jumping or swimming. When Alex was being chased by a great-white he was paralyzed with fear.He overcame the idea of it and took control of the situation, which was no easy task. When Alex was being held at gunpoint different times in the book, he kept his cool and managed to come out alive. This book is action packed with excitement and awesomeness and I recommend it to everyone!
